PRICE RESEARCH · DHGATE EDIT

A spreadsheet price is a starting point.

The DHgate spreadsheet displays imported item prices and shipping separately. Those values help organise research, but they are not live checkout quotes. Compare the same variant, quantity, destination and currency before deciding which listing costs less.

A real catalogue example

Row DH-0008, labelled Air Jordan 4 Retro “Black Cat”, currently contains a source item price of $31 and source shipping of $24. The recorded subtotal is $55. That is arithmetic on the imported fields, not a claim that the seller currently offers the exact product for $55 delivered.

Recorded fieldSource value (USD)
Item price$31
Shipping$24
Recorded subtotal$55

A different size, quantity, shipping destination or seller update may change the amount. Additional checkout charges are not established by that subtotal.

What the price filter includes

The catalogue’s Under $25, $50 and $100 options filter the item price only. An item priced at $24 with $15 shipping can appear under $25 even though its recorded subtotal is $39. Open details to see both fields.

Compare a saved shortlist

In the searchable DHgate spreadsheet catalogue, save at least two finds using their heart buttons, then choose Compare saved finds. The table places recorded item prices, shipping, item-plus-shipping totals and linked QC references together. A missing value keeps the total unknown; it is never counted as zero.

Open a product's details from the comparison to check its original photo and pictured option. The shortlist stays in this browser. Confirm a current quote for the same size, colour, quantity, currency and destination before deciding which option costs less.

Unknown shipping does not mean free

Thirteen of the 622 imported entries have no shipping value, and seven have no item price. These are gaps in the source data, not zero-cost offers. The counts describe this import and may change when records are updated. No current seller checks are implied.

Compare like for like

  1. Confirm the exact variant and quantity.
  2. Set your destination and read the current delivery options.
  3. Check the currency displayed at checkout.
  4. Separate item price, shipping and other charges.
  5. Keep the date, listing URL and seller details with your notes.

If you are researching resale

Inbound costs are only the beginning. Add packaging, delivery to your buyer, selling fees, payment fees and the other costs relevant to your calculation. Use the margin calculator to explore assumptions, then read the DHgate reselling guide. The calculator is not a profit forecast.

When the listing and spreadsheet disagree

Recheck the current seller page and checkout. Do not order an unrelated product because the spreadsheet names something else. Keep the row ID so you can identify the record needing review.
